September 2019 Meeting --------------
Join the Jeffersonian Democratic Club as it celebrates the 100th anniversary of the implementation of the 19th Amendment of the constitution finally allowing women the right to vote.
It will be held on Wednesday evening, September 25th in the lower level of the Sachem public library, starting at 7 P.M. (We will meet downstairs in meeting room B)
Our expert and presenter is Ms. Ellyn Oakvist from the Lake Ronkonkoma Heritage Society. A lifelong area resident of Lake Ronkonkoma with family roots going back into the 1700's. Accompanying her is Mr. Dale Spencer, the official Lake Ronkonkoma Historian. This exciting presentation will take us back to a century ago.
The Sachem Public Library is located at 150 Holbrook Road, in Holbrook. Located on on the west side of the street roughly one half mile north the the westbound Long Island Expressway (West of County Road 97 - Nicolls Road).

Katie Costanza from the Long Island Progressive Coalition spoke on the PowerUp program, a Green Energy initiative providing residences and communities within Nassau and Suffolk Counties with the capability to become more energy efficient.
